Job Description
🏥 First Aid Nurse – Roles & Responsibilities
🔹 1. Emergency Care
- Provide immediate first aid treatment for injuries and sudden illnesses
- Handle minor wounds, burns, fractures, sprains, and bleeding
- Perform CPR and basic life support (BLS) when required
- Stabilize patients before referral to hospital
🔹 2. Patient Assessment
- Assess patient condition quickly and accurately
- Monitor vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration)
- Identify emergency symptoms and prioritize care
🔹 3. Medication & Treatment
- Administer prescribed emergency medications
- Dress wounds and change bandages
- Maintain infection control procedures
🔹 4. Documentation
- Maintain first aid records and incident reports
- Record treatment provided and patient condition
- Report serious cases to higher medical authorities
🔹 5. Health & Safety
- Ensure availability of first aid kits and emergency supplies
- Regularly check expiry dates of medicines
- Follow safety and hygiene protocols
🔹 6. Communication
- Inform doctors or emergency services when needed
- Educate patients on basic health care and injury prevention
- Coordinate with management during emergencies
🔹 7. Equipment Handling
- Maintain emergency equipment (oxygen cylinder, AED, stretcher)
- Ensure proper storage of medical supplies
